First round 1st July (updated)
Sadly I got off to a rather bumpy start. I had five hours of infusion as an outpatient with rituximab finishing at 5 pm on Monday, but then I had a strong adverse reaction, so was rushed to A&E, where I was treated until three in the morning, and then moved into an inpatient ward. They gave me all sorts of drugs and blood transfusions,
They told me to take a day off to recover on Tuesday, and then on Wednesday I had my first dose of Ben(damustine) followed by 8 hours of saline infusion.
On Thursday I had the second dose of Ben, followed by 16 hours of saline infusion. I was really hoping to go home, but they said I would have to sign a form saying I was leaving without medical consent.
It's now Friday evening and I'm home! Feeling very rough, but that is good as it means it is finding stuff to attack.
I now have the weekend off, and will go back on Monday morning for a check up.
My immune system is being steadily broken down, so I can't go out (apart from to the hospital) or have any visitors. Sorry.
Love you & so pleased it’s happening quickly!! Thank you darling for the update xxxx
