My diagnosis

I was diagnosed on 14th June with low grade non-Hodgkins lymphoma, the same as killed my mother, though she chose to have no treatment and was bedridden for several months.
The specific type is Lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma/ Waldenstroms Macroglobulinemia.

 Apparently it’s quite rare.

Nope, doesn’t mean anything to me either.

The treatment is a course of chemotherapy using, rituximab and bendamustine.

I don’t have any swollen lymph nodes which is good. I have a swollen spleen and some cists on my liver and kidneys but they don’t seem too bothered by those.

My care has now been transferred from the Royal Free to Northwick Park hospital.

  1. Andrew,
I see that you are receiving the best treatment possible based on your diagnosis. I hope that it will be effective. Seiji/JP
